📌 I'm launching 10 products in 2026
This year I've been procrastinating writing on this newsletter (and on LinkedIn if I'm honest).
I could say I had better things to do, work to finish, time to spend with loved ones (and my cat 🐱) but I'd be lying.
In 2025, I found myself saying that I had nothing interesting to share more than once and me writing slowly decreased over time (and exponentially).
in 2026 no more!
Each year, with my partner, we do a little exercise I like to call "what are our goals this year".
The idea is to keep tabs on each other and make each other succeed in whatever they want to do.
It consists of 10 SMART objectives (business or personal) we absolutely have to achieve this year.
The main thing I want to start doing in 2026 is building in public, both my consulting business & my other ventures.
That's why I'd like to begin being a little more transparent with what my 2026 business goals are:
- Ship 10 side business
- Increase my revenue to +200K€
- Work less (i.e. begin by taking 0.5 days off / month at least)
- Publish +3 times / week on social media (LinkedIn mostly, but here also)
These objectives might seem unattainable but well ... I don't really care that much about realistic expectations (even though it's in the SMART definition ahah). I want to challenge myself.
Maybe I'll fall short - but I would have tried, which is way more than what I've been doing in 2026.
why am I sharing this right now
One thing I really like about building in public is that is creates marketing content and momentum.
You're no longer the only one working on your projects, your entire fanbase is - which, to me, makes all the difference:
- IndieHackers like Marc Lou or Peter Levels have worked so well because of their reach on social media.
- Consulting businesses like the ones created by The Seattle Data Guy have also done well because of YouTube / LinkedIn following.
More than reach, I think that seeing their followers engaged has pushed themselves in darker / less productive times which is what I want for me too.
don't worry about the data content
I won't stop writing about data (ever, I think) !
I just want to add a little bit more business perspective to what I do.
I'll keep this newsletter as a journal of sorts, one I could look back on in 5 years and see all the work I've accomplished!
Until then, stay tuned !
Cheers,
Victor
